Build and Kill Zombies Progression Guide

Scale damage first, keep one defense current from wave 10, and only chase record distance once your clear speed stays comfortable.

Progression map

Advance checkpoint by checkpoint

Every stage needs a visible move-on signal.

  1. Stage 1

    1. Stabilize the early loop

Clear waves 1–10 with cheap rapid damage and learn the wave timing.

  2. Stage 2

    2. Add your first defense at wave 10

One survivability or funneling piece prevents the mid-wave stall that ends most runs.

  3. Stage 3

    3. Keep scaling damage

Alternate damage upgrades with defense maintenance — never fall behind on clear speed.

  4. Stage 4

    4. Push records from wave 25

With balance established, spend on heavy single-target damage to extend each run.

  5. Stage 5

    5. Re-check after updates

Balance changes can shift the order — the updates page tracks verified changes.

Decision basis

Know why the account should advance

Waves 1–10: damage first

Early waves are cheap to clear. Put every payout into rapid damage so kills compound into faster income.

Waves 10–25: balance

Zombies start breaking through. Keep one defense piece current while continuing to scale damage between purchases.

Waves 25+: record pushes

With balanced stats, each payout goes to heavy damage for record distance — and a second defensive piece for safety.

Recovery

Fix what is stopping your next wave

Progress feels slow

You are likely over-invested in one stat: bring the weaker side (damage or survivability) up to match your wave band.

Dying at the same wave repeatedly

That wave is your wall — farm one band lower for faster cash, then upgrade per the tier list.

Cash too low to advance

Use the cash calculator to see whether more kills-per-wave or a cheaper upgrade path fixes the gap.
